Innovation in Azerbaijan’s Construction Industry!

On July 11, 2025, with the support of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM) organized an international forum titled "Industry 4.0 Forum – The Industry of the Future: Technology and Human Capital".

The forum was attended by representatives of government agencies, international organizations, and local entrepreneurs.

As part of the event, the pilot implementation of the Industry 4.0 Readiness Program — the first of its kind in Azerbaijan — was presented. Guests were informed about the steps being taken toward digital transformation at local industrial enterprises. Companies selected for the pilot phase of the project collaborated with the international consulting firm McKinsey & Company, which has extensive experience in this field. As part of the collaboration, a tailored roadmap was developed for each participating enterprise.

One of the enterprises chosen for the pilot phase was METAK, which actively engaged in the process. Digital transformation efforts have already begun at its factory. METAK’s selection as a pilot enterprise was not coincidental. The decision was based on the company’s 28 years of industrial experience, its strong track record in efficient human resource management, and the existence of a solid technological foundation to support digital transformation.

In his speech at the forum, METAK founder Alik Karimov stated:
"The positive impact of this program on our operations and productivity is already being felt. Being one of the first companies in the country in this field is both a great responsibility and a strong source of motivation for us."
